Hunt goes on for elderly woman’s attacker
MOSSMAN police are still searching for a man wanted in connection with a home invasion and robbery of a 68-year-old local woman.
In the hope of getting information from the public, they’ve issued a description of the man.
He’s described as an indigenous male, about five foot 10 inches or 178 cms tall, and of slight build.
He was wearing black jeans and black T-shirt, and a reddish/brown beanie with a stripe around it.
The woman was confronted by the man armed with a knife at 1am on Saturday morning after being woken by her dogs, had money stolen from her purse as well as medication, and then was forced to drive to an ATM in Front St.
One of the detectives working on the case, Senior Constable Paul Talacz, deplored the attack on the frail woman and appealed for help from the public in apprehending the offender.
