Hunt goes on for el­derly woman’s at­tacker

MOSS­MAN po­lice are still search­ing for a man wanted in con­nec­tion with a home invasion and rob­bery of a 68-year-old lo­cal woman.

In the hope of get­ting in­for­ma­tion from the pub­lic, they’ve is­sued a de­scrip­tion of the man.

He’s de­scribed as an in­dige­nous male, about five foot 10 inches or 178 cms tall, and of slight build.

He was wear­ing black jeans and black T-shirt, and a red­dish/brown beanie with a stripe around it.

The woman was con­fronted by the man armed with a knife at 1am on Satur­day morn­ing af­ter be­ing wo­ken by her dogs, had money stolen from her purse as well as med­i­ca­tion, and then was forced to drive to an ATM in Front St.

One of the de­tec­tives work­ing on the case, Se­nior Con­sta­ble Paul Talacz, de­plored the at­tack on the frail woman and ap­pealed for help from the pub­lic in ap­pre­hend­ing the of­fender.
