MOSS­MAN Golf Club will be host­ing Golden Ju­bilee cel­e­bra­tions on Fri­day, Satur­day and Sun­day. Mem­bers are look­ing for­ward to catch­ing up with those past mem­bers and visi­tors who have made a spe­cial ef­fort to join the events from afar, at a din­ner on Satur­day.

Tues­day’s Mens Port Dou­glas Court House Ho­tel event was won by Alan Harper 41 points ahead of Bruce Cheesman 40 and Ralf Middel 39.

Wed­nes­day’s 9 hole Sporters was won by Peter Ti­tusRees 20 on a count-back to Kerri-Lynn Wil­liams.

Thurs­day’s Ladies - Round 1 of the Thurs­day Cham­pi­onship was taken out by Glenda Chris­tensen nett 73 ahead of Bev Cowe 74 and Cherly Rev­ell 76 on a count­back to Kerri-Lynn Wil­liams.

Near­est the pin: Shirley Car­ney, Lyn Heimann, Ellen Clark and Glenda Chris­tensen.

Fri­day’s 9 hole event was won by Ian Ste­ley with 22 points.

An in­tro­duc­tion to golf for Ladies is prov­ing pop­u­lar on Fri­days at 4-5pm.

Satur­day’s Mens event - Di­vi­sion I win­ner Peter Hornsby 39 ahead of Keith Gard 38. Di­vi­sion II Bill Ever­ing­ham 43 points ahead of Ian May 42.

The Ladies event was won by Glenda Chris­tensen 33 points on a count-back to Yvonne Ad­di­son and Lyn Heimann.

Sun­day’s Med­ley was won by an in-form Lyn Heimann with 39 points.

On Sun­day the Mens Pen­nant play­ers trav­elled to Ather­ton.
