George Pitt

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

I believe competition is healthy. I wasn’t going to stand but I have caved into pressure put on me by the general public to stand. What I bring is the experience I gained during my last period on council given that we have had training by a South Australian company Global Leadership on all aspects of local governance. I have served two years on the Marine Tropical Science federal government ministerial board. I was born and educated in Mossman and I have a clear understanding of the needs of the shire. One of my priorities will be to form a united council because I believe that you can achieve better outcomes if you work as a team. I would like to ensure essential services are upgraded and we TBA

are conservative in our spending, given at this time we do not know how much we will get in our separation from Cairns.
