BREAK-INS, graf­fiti and theft is con­tin­u­ing to oc­cur at Moss­man’s schools, prompt­ing po­lice to call on com­mu­nity mem­bers to keep an eye out for loi­ter­ers.

For the past sev­eral weeks there has been nu­mer­ous of­fences com­mit­ted on the grounds out­side of school hours and nu­mer­ous youths aged be­tween 10 and 15 have been cau­tioned, how­ever of­fences are con­tin­u­ing to oc­cur.

Moss­man se­nior con­sta­ble Cas­san­dra Hill said un­known of­fend­ers have been smash­ing win­dows to gain en­try into class­room and steal­ing items, and loi­ter­ing in school grounds, leav­ing rub­bish be­hind and caus­ing dam­age to the schools with graf­fiti.

‘‘Aside from the fact it is il­le­gal, it’s tak­ing away re­sources and money out of our school, which af­fects our chil­dren in those schools,’’ Se­nior Con­sta­ble Hill said.

‘‘If par­ents can please be aware of where their chil­dren are at all times and if the pub­lic can as­sist us to help com­bat this, it will be greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.’’
