Playgroup says thanks

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

MOSSMAN Community Playgroup’s ‘‘Wet and Messy Open Day’’ which took place on Wednesday, October 23, was a fun day out for the children and their families.

It was a part of National Children’s Week and was organised and run by the mothers of the Playgroup. Over 40 families from the community participated and it was wonderful to see the children getting involved in different activities.

Some of the activities included face painting, arts and crafts, bubbles, slime and spaghetti play, and getting to know the workings of a fire engine and a police car.

Mossman Community Playgroup would like to thank Andrew and James from Mossman Fire and Rescue, Aaron from the Mossman Police Station, the Gazette for their help in advertising, Helen from the Council for her help in advertising and the Council give- aways, Siobhan and Molly from Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre for organising the face painting, and all children for coming along to enjoy the day with us. And, of course, this day would not have been as much fun or well run without the wonderful volunteering spirit and kindness of the members of the Playgroup, so thank you.

All children and families are welcome to come and play with us anytime in the future: we are there every Wednesday from 9: 30 to 11:30.
