Addition to sports fishing in Port Douglas
AUSTRALIA’S new sports fishing operation will be launched from its base in Port Douglas called Far North Sports Fishing. With a 68 foot mothership, Blue Martini, and three custom-built 20 foot dories to accompany, FNSF will run day and live-aboard charters. Blue Martini was purchased from Port Douglas identity Jim Morris and had over $1 million dollars of investment and refit undertaken by CJH Yachts in Cairns. It is comprised of three levels and will provide accommodation for up to eight discerning passengers and five crew, with an all-inclusive fishing experience complete with on-board chef preparing gourmet fare equivalent to one-hat standard. The owners are anticipating the operation will appeal to keen anglers and corporate groups chasing GT, Black Marlin and Barramundi.
The launch will be held at the Port Douglas Marina from 11.30am on Friday, November 22.
