Ad­di­tion to sports fish­ing in Port Dou­glas

AUS­TRALIA’S new sports fish­ing op­er­a­tion will be launched from its base in Port Dou­glas called Far North Sports Fish­ing. With a 68 foot mother­ship, Blue Mar­tini, and three cus­tom-built 20 foot dories to ac­com­pany, FNSF will run day and live-aboard char­ters. Blue Mar­tini was pur­chased from Port Dou­glas iden­tity Jim Mor­ris and had over $1 mil­lion dol­lars of in­vest­ment and re­fit un­der­taken by CJH Yachts in Cairns. It is com­prised of three lev­els and will pro­vide ac­com­mo­da­tion for up to eight dis­cern­ing pas­sen­gers and five crew, with an all-in­clu­sive fish­ing ex­pe­ri­ence com­plete with on-board chef pre­par­ing gourmet fare equiv­a­lent to one-hat stan­dard. The own­ers are an­tic­i­pat­ing the op­er­a­tion will ap­peal to keen an­glers and cor­po­rate groups chas­ing GT, Black Mar­lin and Bar­ra­mundi.

The launch will be held at the Port Dou­glas Ma­rina from 11.30am on Fri­day, Novem­ber 22.
