OVER the next week, Centre of Contemporary Arts is bringing two of Australia’s hottest names in comedy to Cairns – Liz Skitch and Sean Choolburra. After sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Melbourne Comedy Festival and Adelaide Fringe Festival, Skitch will bring her one-act show, which blends burlesque, stand-up comedy and cabaret to CoCA for one night only on Thursday.

After a season at Melbourne cabaret The Butterfly Club as part of the Melbourne Inter- national Comedy Festival, the show was well and truly ready for UK audiences, Skitch says.

Audiences can expect a truly revealing cabaret in Skitch Tease.

Sean Choolburra will also return to the theatre’s main stage for the second year running when Fresh & Funky Returns on Monday.

Sean Choolburra and David Busta Maxwell have been performing together since the Dreaming Festival at Woodford in 2009.
