Night of cuisine to raise funds for typhoon aid
ENJOY delicious traditional Philippines cuisine and support the people of Philippines struggling to survive after Typhoon Haiyan swept through the nation.
The extreme weather event report- edly killed hundreds of people, destroyed homes and towns, and displaced four million people.
With a strong Philippines community in Mossman, they are gathering together with the wider community and organising the dinner this Saturday night from 6.30pm at the Mossman Indoor Centre, with delicious food. There will also be raffles to raise money and some video footage of the typhoon to show how it has effected their famil- ies. Come along and show your support – dinner costs $20 for adults and high school students and children are half price; all money raised will be given to the Fransican Sisters of Quezon City to distribute aid.
