Night of cui­sine to raise funds for typhoon aid

EN­JOY de­li­cious tra­di­tional Philip­pines cui­sine and sup­port the peo­ple of Philip­pines strug­gling to sur­vive af­ter Typhoon Haiyan swept through the na­tion.

The ex­treme weather event re­port- edly killed hun­dreds of peo­ple, de­stroyed homes and towns, and dis­placed four mil­lion peo­ple.

With a strong Philip­pines com­mu­nity in Moss­man, they are gath­er­ing to­gether with the wider com­mu­nity and or­gan­is­ing the din­ner this Satur­day night from 6.30pm at the Moss­man In­door Cen­tre, with de­li­cious food. There will also be raf­fles to raise money and some video footage of the typhoon to show how it has ef­fected their famil- ies. Come along and show your sup­port – din­ner costs $20 for adults and high school stu­dents and chil­dren are half price; all money raised will be given to the Fran­si­can Sis­ters of Que­zon City to dis­trib­ute aid.
