Looking for the Wonga croc
NORTH Wonga Beach resident Erin Easton has spent a couple of mornings trying to snap a crocodile whose slide marks she has found on the beach, so far wihout success.
She told the Gazette that ‘‘in case people try to get the croc moved, it’s pretty far away from anyone or any boat ramps and isn’t harassing anyone. Always known there was a croc living in there as I grew up here, but I have never seen the tracks on the beaches around here before. By the looks of it, it was a pretty decent sized croc.’’
