The clinking of glasses
WITH the year drawing to a close and the festive season fast- approaching, those behind the scenes at the Clink Theatre are inviting everyone to join them for a Christmas Drink.
The annual event Christmas at the Clink is on again and begins at 2pm on December 8, with the children of the Tropical North Theatre Company presenting an original play to entertain the crowd.
The daytime events including crafts, games, food stalls, Santa Claus and even more.
From 6pm onwards The Clink will celebrate with the theatre community with an evening of live music from local musicians, perform- ance from a choir, Christmas cocktails, gourmet BBQ and even Santa is keen to stick around for photos with the adults.
The Clink’s Claire Tierney said it was an opportunity for the public to come along and have a drink with friends and family, to celebrate the end of another successful season.
‘‘We enjoy the efforts and achievements of our tireless volunteers all year and at Christmas we want to party,’’ she said.
‘‘We would like to invite everyone to join us after the play from 6pm onwards, for a free Christmas get-together.’’
Christmas at the Clink is Sunday, December 8 at the Clink Theatre, Port Douglas.
