WITH the year draw­ing to a close and the fes­tive sea­son fast- ap­proach­ing, those be­hind the scenes at the Clink The­atre are invit­ing ev­ery­one to join them for a Christ­mas Drink.

The an­nual event Christ­mas at the Clink is on again and be­gins at 2pm on De­cem­ber 8, with the chil­dren of the Trop­i­cal North The­atre Com­pany pre­sent­ing an orig­i­nal play to en­ter­tain the crowd.

The day­time events in­clud­ing crafts, games, food stalls, Santa Claus and even more.

From 6pm on­wards The Clink will cel­e­brate with the the­atre com­mu­nity with an evening of live mu­sic from lo­cal mu­si­cians, per­form- ance from a choir, Christ­mas cock­tails, gourmet BBQ and even Santa is keen to stick around for pho­tos with the adults.

The Clink’s Claire Tier­ney said it was an op­por­tu­nity for the pub­lic to come along and have a drink with friends and fam­ily, to cel­e­brate the end of another suc­cess­ful sea­son.

‘‘We en­joy the ef­forts and achieve­ments of our tire­less vol­un­teers all year and at Christ­mas we want to party,’’ she said.

‘‘We would like to in­vite ev­ery­one to join us af­ter the play from 6pm on­wards, for a free Christ­mas get-to­gether.’’

Christ­mas at the Clink is Sun­day, De­cem­ber 8 at the Clink The­atre, Port Dou­glas.
