Honing your skills
Mossman and District Rifle Club
SHOOTERS from across the Douglas Shire can hone their skills at the Mossman and District Rifle Club located on the Captain Cook Highway between Port Douglas and Mossman.
The club was established more than 60 years ago and has 18 members who meet most Saturdays, weather permitting, at 1pm.
All shooting is undertaken in a controlled environment. Members enjoy the challenge of target shooting at 700m and can compete either locally or nationally, individually or in a team.
The last Saturday of every month the club hosts a rapid fire field competition and the annual prize shoot is held during July each year.
