Chief instructor Roby Kessler said it is not a fighting art. ‘‘It enables you to defend yourself without fighting,’’ he said. The Japanese martial art focuses on Ki development, combining martial studies with an emphasis on the ability to relax the mind and body even under stress. It’s perfect for children and adults alike.’’
