LOOK­ING for a good laugh and a heart­felt mes­sage, head along to Cairns for the open­ing of Chap­ter Two.

To be staged at the Rondo Theatre in Edge Hill, Chap­ter Two has been de­scribed as com­edy with heart, writ­ten by world renowned play­wright Neil Si­mon and di­rected by Narelle Shorey.

It is a com­edy filled with witty di­a­logue, ex­as­per­at­ing char­ac­ters you will grow to love and sit­u­a­tions that re­flect lives we all recog­nise, even some­times in our­selves.

Ge­orge is a wid­owed nov­el­ist still griev­ing for his wife.

Jen­nie is a re­cently di­vorced soap opera ac­tress.

Nei­ther be­lieves he/she is ready for a new ro­mance.

Af­ter a se­ries of dis­as­trous blind dates, the pair are pushed to­gether by his brother Leo and her best friend Faye and the roller coaster re­la­tion­ship that fol­lows is pre­sented in a mas­ter­ful mix­ture of witty di­a­logue, laugh­ter and hon­est hu­man emo­tion.

Chap­ter Two opens to­mor­row night, Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 21 and runs un­til March 1 ex­clud­ing Sun­day. The bar opens at 7pm and show starts 8pm.

Tick­ets are $27 for adults, $22 for pen­sion­ers and $20 for stu­dents with ID un­der 25, ex­cept on Mon­day and Tues­day nights when all tick­ets cost $22.
