Discover deadline approaching
THE booking deadline for Discover Paradise, the joint publication between Port Douglas and Mossman Gazette and Tourism Port Douglas Daintree, is tomorrow.
‘‘This is the sixth year we have done Discover Paradise and the second year in the exciting coffee table A4 format,’’ TPDD business development executive Tara Bennett said.
‘‘Each year the TPDD office receives emails of congratulations from people who see the insert in the southern states as well as gratitude from southern unit owners who see the insert as the weather is turning cooler and they know people are thinking about their winter break.
‘‘In the past two years TPDD has been able to secure additional funding support from TTNQ and TEQ New Zealand demonstrating industry support for the publication. The additional funding is used to boost distribution.’’
Andrea and Brett Gibson of the Outrigger Hol- iday Apartments endorse the publication thoroughly. ‘‘Last year was our first time advertising in Discover Paradise publication and we were very happy to receive two direct bookings of two weeks each; one from Melbourne and one from New Zealand,’’ they said. ‘‘We are definitely booking a spot again for this year.’’
With nearly 125,000 copies being distributed throughout Victoria, NSW and Queensland, the glossy, landscape, coffee- table publication offers 48 pages of delight to readers and advertisers alike.
With up to date information on the abundant attractions for the Port Douglas and Daintree regions’ reef and rainforest experiences, wedding and corporate events, adventure holidays, indigenous culture, dining, accommodation, spa and wellbeing treatments and of course events and festivals, this premium publication is one of the most important tourism campaigns for the Douglas region each year.
