Three bundles of fluff are the very special new arrivals at the Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas. Three black-necked stork eggs hatched over the weekend, and Habitat staff are over the moon about it. “We still remain the only zoo or wildlife park in the world to have once again successfully bred the black-necked stork!” said Narelle Spencer of the Wildlife Habitat. “We are so excited and also looking at the big task ahead of us to ensure all three survive. James and Jabbie are both sharing the parental duties and James’ protective fatherly instincts are very interesting to observe.”
