During National Recycling Week (November 9-15), Australian Paper and Planet Ark are calling on Port Douglas businesses and Government to close the recycling loop by making the switch to Australian made recycled paper. The Make it Australian Recycled partnership aims to increase recycling of office paper, reduce Australian waste paper going to landfill and increase demand for locally made, high-recycled content paper in business and government. “It’s not enough just to recycle, we need to ‘close the loop’ by purchasing locally made paper with at least 50% recycled content,” said Craig Dunn, Australian Paper’s National Manager Sustainability.
