SHERATON PLANS

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

Leigh Ratcliffe, project consultant to the Fullshare Group which owns the Sheraton Mirage in Port Douglas, says the owners have submitted a slightly revised development plan to the council. He reiterated at the council’s business forum last week that the redevelopment of the Sheraton involved from $200-250m and would take five to eight years. It involved making the Sheraton “the No 1 resort in Australia again”, including the country club, as well as construction of a new “boutique, six-star hotel”. Work on a convention centre would start next year. “You’ll be pleased to know we’re not changing height limits or densities.”
