Quad bike crackdown
POLICE have weighed in on the Wonga Beach quad bike issue saying there will be “zero tolerance” for riding on a footpath, road or beach.
Senior Constable Casandra Hill said it’s up to parents to stop their children from riding unlawfully. “Parents and kids need to know there will be zero tolerance from Mossman police for anybody found riding a quad bike on the footpath, road or beach,” she said.
“The law is the law and they will be prosecuted.”
Senior Constable Hill said police are putting their foot down to ensure proper safety precautions are being maintained. Police will be at the forum at the school on Dec 1.
