Quad bike crack­down

PO­LICE have weighed in on the Wonga Beach quad bike is­sue say­ing there will be “zero tol­er­ance” for rid­ing on a foot­path, road or beach.

Se­nior Con­sta­ble Casan­dra Hill said it’s up to par­ents to stop their chil­dren from rid­ing un­law­fully. “Par­ents and kids need to know there will be zero tol­er­ance from Moss­man po­lice for any­body found rid­ing a quad bike on the foot­path, road or beach,” she said.

“The law is the law and they will be pros­e­cuted.”

Se­nior Con­sta­ble Hill said po­lice are putting their foot down to en­sure proper safety pre­cau­tions are be­ing main­tained. Po­lice will be at the fo­rum at the school on Dec 1.
