Coconut heard of a father and daughter who decided to spend their Sunday sunbathing and swimming around on the Reef. They chose to forego stinger suits after Dad proudly proclaimed he had something better. “I’ve swum the waters of the Great Barrier Reef for 30 years and haven’t been stung yet. A little bit of local knowledge is all you need,” he told his daughter. It seemed the “local knowledge” product might have needed a bit of refining. Not even five minutes after stepping into the water, Dad had two stings to the leg. Luckily for Dad it wasn’t an irukandji. Back to the workshop he went. for Lent. Well it’s not like she can get to Dan Murphy’s anyway.
