Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

Speaking as a Port Douglas resident of over 35 years, I believe this retirement village development is sorely needed.

Much as I would like to think that I can manage and maintain my property and do all the other million and one things one has to do, reality says that I might struggle a bit and have to consider an alternative lifestyle such as this. I don’t want to go to Cairns or Mossman. I want to be in Port Douglas.

Now this development won’t appear overnight, so I would urge all like-minded persons to question their councillors (whether incumbent or proposed) and get their views and voice their opinion and endorse this urgently needed facility.

Barry Crockford, Craiglie
