Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - BUSINESS -

The coast road north of Palm Cove used to be a pleasant drive. Now it is a circus.

Most drivers are in an unnecessary rush and if you don’t drive at the speed limit and over you get tailgated and bullied.

The trucks, buses and tradies are the worst offenders. Trucks crash often and it’s just a matter of time before a bus has a bad accident.

It’s a poor piece of road for such a fast and large volume of traffic and out of the way for a regular patrol by the highway patrol. There’s a need to cut the speed limit across the board and enforce it. A lot of people are coming to the same conclusion. The number of deaths and accidents is the proof, and it grows worse each year.
