TREES TO BE RE­PLANTED

Coun­cil has or­dered for trees to be re­planted on a Port Dou­glas prop­erty and ad­ja­cent road re­serve that were re­moved with­out ap­proval. Many of the trees were re­moved from 11 Lan­g­ley Rd, Port Dou­glas, on 1 De­cem­ber 2015.As a re­sult of a com­plaint about the tree clear­ing lodged with Coun­cil, of­fi­cers con­ducted an in­ves­ti­ga­tion which de­ter­mined that one co­conut palm, one mango tree and two but­ton­woods should not have been re­moved.
