Ju­nior Crocs put on a show, revel in the mud

The U8s Croc Navy took on Cairns City Lions Ma­roon for round 2 at the Croc Pit for the first home game of the sea­son. The sun was out and their was plenty to cheer about with goals to John, James, Kobe, Caleb and Cooper (2). A great team ef­fort with awards go­ing to Kai, Alex and Cooper. NDER 8 WHITE This week’s game started in the same fash­ion as Round 1 where team­work and shar­ing the ball were the high­light. The game was played mainly in the back half this week giv­ing the crocs a chance to prac­tise their de­fen­sive skills. It’s im­pres­sive to see some of the skills dis­played early on in the sea­son espe­cially the hand­ball which brings every­body into the game.

Player of the week awards went to Cole, Ash­ton and Arlo. UN­DER 11 First home game for the year and a su­per ef­fort put in by all the Un­der 11’s in hot steamy con­di­tions. Led by cap­tain Ethan Scott the Crocs ap­plied pres­sure all day and never gave in. Go Croc’s! Awards: Ethan, Jack, Ja­maica and Ewan. UN­DER 9 Round 2 and it was a home game for the un­der 9’s.

The Crocs got off to a fly­ing start with great goals from Sam Thomp­son, Os­car Cooper and Mark Hay­ward keep­ing the lions score­less go­ing into the sec­ond quar­ter.

The Lions were hun­gry for goals in the 2nd quar­ter but the Crocs man­aged to bag a few with Tor­res Gawn, Solomon Seare and Tris­tan Pot­tle all kick­ing great goals.

The 3rd quar­ter saw a short burst by the Lions tall for­wards com­ing to­gether and dom­i­nat­ing the For­ward line.

The Crocs an­swered back with Lockie O’Loiglin, Jesse and Tyler Radley all kick­ing goals.
