Palmer puts 10 lots at Sea Reef on block
THE Pink Company Real Estate Port Douglas is auctioning 10 blocks of land in the beautiful Palmer Sea Reef Golf Estate in Port Douglas on Saturday, April 16 at the Golf Clubhouse.
The Pink Company has the exclusive agency and were approached by a director of Palmer Leisure Australia P/L just last Thursday and given the authority to proceed with the auction.
The 10 blocks are from a stockpile of 43 owned by the company as part of a purchase of 44 when they bought the Palmer Sea Reef property a few years ago.
McGrath principal Tony McGrath said “we don’t have reserve prices at this stage; we will get those on the day of the auction.”
“That’s quite normal,” he said. “We don’t want to guesstimate on prices. It’s a serious auction and it’s a serious property.
“I don’t play golf but I could live there. It’s an extremely well developed, gated com- munity. Not in a flood zone. Lovely views. You can go to the club and have a drink and walk home – today that’s hard to get. It’s a wonderful private world in there.
“If you want open space around you, this is the place. They’re absolutely special blocks and they’re being offered in a special fashion, and the intention on Saturday, April 16 is to sell the 10 under the hammer.
“Global auctioneer Graeme Hennessy from Sydney will wield the hammer and the contracts will be signed by the auctioneer when sold.”
The golf course made global headlines last year after a small crocodile living at the course nipped a local golfer who wandered too near.
