Reserves win over top dogs Centrals

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - SPORT -

THE CAFL Crocs Reserves team rebounded from there previous round loss with a great team effort against the undefeated Centrals.

From start to finish the boys controlled the game from the midfield with the Dickson boys getting plenty of ball and using it well.

The boys in the backline once again kept a tight, well disciplined structure with great leadership from Hayden and mouse keeping the centrals to only two goals for the game.

The Petrack brothers were at their best breaking packs and setting up team mates down the field.

The boys welcomed back Scott Roberts and Dan (Scooter) Young for their first games in more than a year and showed how much they were missed with Dan picking up plenty of the ball and snagging two goals, while Roberts worked in and under and got better as the game went on.

The boys were well led by captain for the day Nathan Evans who dominated all over the ground.

Jimmy Astill led well in the forward line and snagged three for the day. The boys represented the pink jumper well and enjoyed playing their part in the cancer awareness game. We look forward to this week’s game away at 11am against the Saints at Holloways Beach Sporting Club. Go Crocs.
