Reserves run down Saints

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - SPORT -

THE Crocs Reserves continued their good start to the season with a come from behind win against the Cairns Saints.

With the boys clearly not liking the early 11am start to the game they began very slowly and by the first break were five goals down.

They regrouped and put in a better second quarter to reduce the margin to 16pts.

The second half they started to play their game, led by best on ground Nathan Evans who was marking the ball all over the ground and also slotted three goals.

Radar and Liam were consistently sending the ball into attack. Hitting the lead at the third quarter time the boys were up and about.

It was a great team effort in the last quarter with the young guns Angus and Brayden getting their hand on the ball and rewarded with a goal each.

A couple of last half goals to Sam Evans and the Crocs were winners by 9 points. A great, hard fought win in the end. This week we hit the long road trip to South Cairns to play

Pyramid Power at 1pm.
