PORT Dou­glas in­sti­tu­tion Mocka’s Pies has done it again, pick­ing up a raft of awards at Aus­tralia’s Best Pie and Pastie Com­pe­ti­tion in Syd­ney. Owner Nigel Quinn, in Syd­ney for the awards, proudly in­formed the Gazette that Mocka’s had won the fol­low­ing awards for its pies and pasties: GOLD - Pump­kin, Spinach & Feta Pie SIL­VER - Tra­di­tional Pastie SIL­VER – Gourmet Pastie (Chicken & Leek)

SIL­VER - Vege­tar­ian Pastie (Red Curry Veg)

SIL­VER - Sri Lankan Curry Beef Pie

SIL­VER - Seafood Pie (Bar­ra­mundi, Scal­lops & Prawns)

SIL­VER - Croc­o­dile Laksa Pie

BRONZE - Chunky Beef Pie.
