Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS WHY I DO WHAT I DO -

Debbie the Soccer Mum is on her last warning. She has been yellow carded for bad behaviour, namely being one of those parents on the sidelines at a sporting fixture for kiddies and being unable to refrain from criticising the ref. It appears a kiddie from the opposing team to her son’s handled the soccer ball twice on its way to the goals, both times not witnessed by the ref. Debbie’s inquiry of the ref, against a storm of voices in her head saying “don’t”, was whether the ref needed glasses. A complaint was lodged and the match manager had a quiet word.
