Crocs whip Lions

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - SPORT -

THE Crocs reserves continued their good form from last week’s win against the Hawks with a convincing 99pt win over North Cairns.

It was nice to be back playing at home after a long few weeks playing away and having the bye. It was a slow start from both teams with the Crocs drifting off their game plan and structures.

The defence played tight rebounding footy and kept the Tigers to 7pts at halftime.

The second half was more accurate for the Crocs who posted 10 goals to 2. Another great effort from the forwards KB and Matty Hunt, kicking 12 goals between for the second week in a row. The younger boys in the team – Angus Dickson and Brayden Wall – played another great game for the second week and are hitting some good form leading into the final month of footy before finals.

Some good efforts all round and a steady second half had the Crocs kick away and win by 99pts. A few players were back and played well with spots in the team up for grabs it’s important for the boys to get to training both nights and keep the competition for a spot in the team tight.

This week they are away playing the Lions at 11am at Griffiths park. Go Crocs.
