Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - OPINION -

Having lived in Douglas Shire for a good 24 years the concept of alternative living at Craiglie is a no- brainer. However I do take umbrage at the words “retirement community”. As a techno-savvy “mature person” with one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel I would prefer the terminalogy for such an establishment to be “a lifestyle option”. Last time I looked I think I was still breathing. SO it’s a BIG YEAH for the development from me.

On another note, with all the doom and gloom in the world, you have to take time out to recognise outstanding community service and none are better than the two ladies at Bendigo Bank in Port, Carolyn and Nicky. Bouquets Girls.
