Now Crocs Seconds set sights on Pyramid Power

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - SPORT -

THE seconds kicked the dew off in the early game at 11am against the second placed Cairns Saints in a battle to wrestle back second spot and the double chance.

The first quarter was just that, a wrestle to gain ascendency in a skilful game and the Crocs were a goal up at the break.

Jimmy Wollerman was giving onballers Ross McRae, and the Dickson brother first use of the pill but the boys were still failing to stretch the lead until Michael Klein-Boonshate kicked the last three of the quarter in the final minutes.

KB then kicked the first of the third quarter and the run and fresh legs of the Crocs bench was starting to wear down the opposition in a dominant four goals to one quarter thanks to the backline led by Max Petrack.

In the last quarter the boys again stretched out the lead and played the type of football the know they can which pleased coaches Bucky and Sacco. They ran away with a 10 goal win.

Next week the maths is simple: win against the highly rated Pyramid Power and stay in second spot, earning another shot at the South Cairns Cutters.
