Community Kindy Fun Day had everything
THE Port Douglas Community Kindergarten’s fun day was like an old fashioned fair – there were car boot sales and stalls, raffles, games, music entertainment, a novel event involving sheep poo and plenty to out eat and drink. The firies were on hand with Li’l Squirt for the rides for kids, and Derani was there with old Thunder doing carriage rides. The police had a stand promoting Child Protection Week and Port Douglas’s ambulance station officer Ian Day ran kids through basic CPR. One of the stars of the day was the 42m extendable arm brought up from Cairns by the firies, used for the lolly drop.
