Win sets up the Crocs Sec­onds for fi­nals tilt

REEL­ING from hav­ing the points taken from them the pre­vi­ous week and rel­e­gat­ing them to third, the Crocs Sec­onds en­coun­tered a fired up Cen­trals who had beat Port Dou­glas only three weeks prior by 3 points.

Cen­trals kicked with the breeze and slipped out to a 25point lead at the break with the Crocs un­able to im­pact the score­board.

Bucky didn’t panic and asked the team to lift and keep with the struc­tures and let the wind look af­ter it­self and also led by ex­am­ple kick­ing the first 3 of the quar­ter him­self with Michael Klein-Boon­shate snar­ing one and Daniel Young get­ting one late and went to the long break 2 points up with the game in the bal­ance.

The premier­ship quar­ter saw the back­line hold Cen­tral goal­less, led by Timmy Oke and bol­stered by a cou­ple of Daniel Young goals to hold a 13-point lead with the wind to come in the last.

With the Dick­son broth­ers in ev­ery­thing the Crocs ran riot in the last, adding 6 and keep­ing Cen­trals to 1 and in the process set­ting up a Pre­lim­i­nary Fi­nal against the Cairns Saints on Satur­day,1pm.

Daniel Young with his 4 goals was named best afield, with An­drew Macleod hav­ing a great game – both will push for se­nior se­lec­tion this week.
