Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

Mossman Mill throughput for the week was 48,309 tonnes of cane at an average crushing rate of 341 t/hr with plant availability over budget. It was a good throughput for the week with a planned maintenance day included. Most throughput stoppages revolved around the feeding station in particular cane hanging up in the bins, tippler hydraulics, and the prepared cane elevator. Maintenance day focus was on the tippler hydraulics, cane shredder, evaporators and repairing boiler leaks. The boiler work run over the planned time and delayed the factory restart from maintenance. The CCS levels have remained steady in both supply districts. CCS for the week averaged 11.86. CCS average to date is 11.52. Total cane crushed to date is 790,995 tonnes.
