THE se­cond Port Shorts fes­ti­val was a big suc­cess. A strong crowd brought their bean bags and camp­ing chairs for the main night on Satur­day night, where they saw a truly im­pres­sive line up of short films. On Fri­day night the au­di­ence was treated to the ef­forts of young film­mak­ers. The re­ward for nur­tur­ing young tal­ent was un­der­lined on Satur­day when a 17-year-old from Perth won the “Open” cat­e­gory with a film of as­ton­ish­ing qual­ity.
