WOULD YOU LIKE TO GREET CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS TO PORT DOUGLAS?
Tourism Port Douglas Daintree are looking for volunteers to greet cruise ship passengers as they arrive at the Reef Marina Port Douglas. We are looking for passionate locals to share their love for our beautiful region and become a part of cruise ship passengers’ Port Douglas experience by welcoming them with a smile and your insider’s knowledge into what they can do in their short time in Port Douglas. Volunteers would be required to assist for approximately 1.5 hours on a cruise ship day. We have four volunteers present for each visit and have a roster in place so everyone can share the load. Volunteers are provided with information, maps and visitor guides. Currently General Manger of Mossman Gorge Centre in Far North Queensland, one of the most successful and awarded Cultural based tourism and training centres in Australia welcoming over 300,000 visitors annually through its doors and maintaining a 90% Indigenous workforce and a dedicated training academy and onsite hostel welcoming students from remote regions of North QLD and Thursday Island. Ben was recently awarded the Young Achiever for 2016 at the Tropical North Queensland awards in Cairns.
