Inbound Up North which was held in Cairns late last month has been declared a resounding success. Organised by the North Queensland branch of the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC), the annual event has become a must do with inbound operators from around Australia as well as the NQ ATEC Members. Fifty inbound tour operators travelled to Cairns to meet with TNQ suppliers for product workshops and destination updates. Six energetic groups of ITOs and suppliers conducted a wide range of famils throughout the region on the final day, finishing with fireworks and dinner at Ochre. An inbound tour operators is an Australian based business that provides itinerary planning, product selection and coordinates the reservation, confirmation and payment of travel arrangements on behalf of their overseas clients such as wholesaler or retail travel agents.
