New pres­i­dent for Cham­ber

WADE Greasley has been ap­pointed pres­i­dent of the Dou­glas Cham­ber of Com­merce.

So­lic­i­tor Martin Tran­ter will serve again as vice pres­i­dent.

The trea­surer role is be­ing un­der­taken this year by Judee Crothers, an ex­pe­ri­enced book­keeper.

This year sees Adam Bar­rell of Marino Lawyers ac­cept the sec­re­tary po­si­tion.

Top pri­or­i­ties for 2017 to build on the mo­men­tum of 2016, fo­cus­ing on progress on the wi-fi is­sues in the Shire, fur­ther de­vel­op­ment of a cus­tomer ser­vice cen­tred, ser­vice pro­gram for new staff, and pro­mo­tion and de­liv­ery of the VIP Shop­ping Night’s.

The Cham­ber of Com­merce is again run­ning the Christ­mas Win­dow Com­pe­ti­tion.

Judg­ing for the Christ­mas dis­play will take place on the VIP Shop­ping Night, De­cem­ber 15, at 6.30pm.
