Mossman Gorge Centre’s Pratt takes on WA site

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS - Scott Tibballs

MOSSMAN Gorge general manager Ben Pratt has been promoted by Voyages, and is now in charge of both Mossman Gorge and Home Valley Station.

Home Valley Station, Voyage’s resort in the Kimberley region, is where Mr Pratt worked as general manager before he transferred to the Far North two years ago.

“The most recent development is they’ve changed general managers out there at Home Valley and they’ve asked me to take on board a group overseeing role as general manager for Mossman Gorge and for Home Valley,” said Mr Pratt.

He has very fond memories of his time managing the resort, a position in a long chain of jobs he’s held with Voyages over the past 11 years.

Mossman Gorge won’t be seeing any less of Mr Pratt though, he’ll be remaining in the Douglas region while acting as group manager for Home Valley Station. “I’ll head out there a couple of times a year. This will obviously be my base.

“We’re even exploring now what opportunities we can have to cross-pollinate whether it’s training, students graduating here going out there, and vice versa. So it’ll be interesting to see what the future’s got.”
