Delegates will stay at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa, named global best golf resort in the 2016 Haute Grandeur Hotel Awards, with the taxpayerfunded International Parliamentary Relations Office footing the bill.

Mrs Entsch will cover her own costs, except for accommodation as the couple will share a room. Mr Entsch said he was asked to head the delegation at short notice.

“January is normally the only block of time I get to spend with my family, so by having my wife attend at least this way I can make sure to spend some time with her,” he said.
