Indigenous tours do well

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - BUSINESS -

MOSSMAN Gorge Centre general manager Ben Pratt has hit back at a story in the

that claimed tourists weren’t not very interested in indigenous tours.

“Our own tours are showing significant increases year-onyear,” Mr Pratt said. “In fact 2016-17 has proved the busiest in this property’s history. We recently added tours to satisfy demand from tour operators.”

Mr Pratt said the Centre welcomes more than 350 thousands visitors each year and 50,000 of these visitors participated in an one of the cultural based tours.

“More and more visitors are seeing this as a ‘must do’ in their itineraries along with the amazing Reef and rainforest.”
