THE BOAT TRAIN
• The lady Douglas was built in 1989 and ferried passengers from the Marina Mirage to St Crispins. The train line was re-opened from St Crispins to the Marina, then providing a round trip. • The Marina-St Crispins run is half an hour on the train and 45 minutes on the Lady Douglas • The Lady Douglas cruises along at a leisurely 5-6 knots • It can carry up to 50 people each way (and one small dog and a pair of ever present sparrows) • On Sundays, the Lady Douglas will have two departures – 10:45 am, lunch at Bally Hooley (St Crispins), then back to the Reef Marina at 1:45 pm. And then at noon, returning to the Marina at 3:15 pm. Beverage and fruit platter included on the Lady Douglas along with historical commentary.
It was an amazing time in Port Douglas, very exciting. And here we are bringing back the old Lady Douglas, and the Bally Hooley, and with the new Choo Choos as well
