Regional food producers wanted
DOUGLAS’S long list of high quality, artesan food suppliers and providores can put their produce in front 80,000 hungry gourmands at Queensland’s signature gourmet food event, Regional Flavours, in Brisbane in July.
Applications from growers or producers of small batch artisan foods interested in vending in the Regional Flavours Marketplace, which is now in its ninth year, are now open.
The organisers says stallholders from previous events have been able to connect with new wholesale buyers, local restaurateurs and commercial food distributors to explore business opportunities. This year’s event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 15-16, in South Bank Parklands.
Popular stalls at the 2016 event included handmade chocolates, native fruits, local honey, gluten free ingredients, organic vegetables, cured meat products, olive oils, boutique wineries, gourmet sweets, preserves and cheeses.
Regional Flavours is attended by more than 80,000 food lovers who flock to see celebrity chef demonstrations, picnic with friends and shop the Marketplace for new, innovative and delicious foods to stock their larders.
