PYTHONESQUE

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

Only in the Far North . . . a local shop owner was alerted late at night by people passing her clothing store who had a noticed a good sized python manoeuvring around the interior of the shop. It had come in from the back of the shop, which was renovated a little while back, climbed over a grille, and happily made its way along the shelves and the counter and some of the fittings, swiping bits and pieces onto the floor. The owner begged Coconut not to put this in the paper – as if he would! – as “those women from the cities will never come into my shop again”, due to the word “snake” having now been linked to the premises. You know how everyone south of the border is about these things.
