Cairns airport misses out
CAIRNS Airport has missed out on a top rating in the “Oscars” of the aviation world”.
The airport did not make the top 100 in the world but was judged fifth as best regional airport in Australia-Pacific after the Gold Coast, Christchurch, Wellington and Darwin.
Brisbane, at world No. 16, was the top rated Australian airport, rising one place from last year in the Skytrax World Airport Awards.
Gold Coast was named the top regional airport and rated No. 50 in the world.
Singapore’s Changi Airport is the best with Tokyo Haneda in Japan, second, and third was Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea.
