Crocs back up for Rnd 2

ALL teams trav­elled to Cairns in Round 2 to play some tremen­dous foot­ball. Fol­low­ing a se­ri­ously hot Round 1 the goal for Round 2 was ed­u­cat­ing the play­ers to keep hy­drated by drink­ing plenty of wa­ter dur­ing the week and es­pe­cially the be­fore the game. The next two games are at the Croc Pit so come along, have a feed at the can­teen and sup­port our fu­ture AFL su­per­stars.

UN­DER 8 CROCS NAVY VS NORTH CAIRNS YEL­LOW

Un­der 8 Navy faced North Cairns yel­low at Hol­loways Beach. The Tigers were short on num­bers and it was great to see Kai, Harry, Mar­cus and Parker all help the op­po­si­tion out. Kobe, Quade, Ethan and Cap­tain Harry kicked goals for the Crocs. Play­ers of the week were Parker, Kobe and Ethan.

UN­DER 8 CROCS WHITE VS CAIRNS CITY LIONS

Whites play­ers turned up to pic­turesque Hol­loways Beach. The team are be­gin­ning to show some good skills and con­cen­trated on kick­ing to the free player in­stead of the pack. This re­sulted in two su­perb goals dur­ing the day by Os­car and Cadel. It was ex­cit­ing to see Saige and Satchin play their 1st game of AFL. Play­ers of the week were Os­car, Saige, Arlo Jones and Kane.

UN­DER 9 CROCS VS CAIRNS CITY LIONS

Un­der 9s trav­elled to the home of the lions. The boys tried hard in an­other hot match and demon­strated some fan­tas­tic team play, with Harry get­ting us off to a flyer with an early goal. Michael played an­other great game and it was awe­some to see an­other new face in Cash re­ceive an award for great play. Player of the day went to Matthew for his never end­ing run and great skill.

UN­DER 11 CROCS VS CAIRNS CITY LIONS

The team was led by cap­tain of the day Cody Knack. The kids showed im­prove­ment from their last game. The third quar­ter was the best foot­ball they have dis­played so far. Out­stand­ing play from Josh Yarr, Solomon Seare and new re­cruits Blake and Thero gave Cash John­ston and Locky Lane (player of the day) the op­por­tu­nity to score.

UN­DER 13 CROCS VS PYRA­MID POWER

Crocs 2-4-16 lost to Pyra­mid Power 9-7-61

The Crocs started solid with 2 goals from Sam keep­ing them in the game un­til half time. By half time the Crocs had 5 play­ers wounded and in the 3rd played 10 av­er­age min­utes of foot­ball that saw the Power run away with the game. In the fi­nal quar­ter the wounded Crocs held the Power to 1 goal. Good ef­fort Crocs. Goals – Sam wall 2

UN­DER 17 COLTS CROCS VS SOUTH CAIRNS

Crocs 8-9-57 de­feated South Cairns 5-2-32

The Colts came away with an ex­cit­ing win.

The first quar­ter was even with Daniel kick­ing a goal. Ben and Fraser were strong at the con­test from the out­set, with great de­fen­sive pres­sure com­ing from Ryan, Noah and Reuben. The in­ter­cept mark­ing by Rex turned many Cut­ters at­tacks back to the Crocs’ ad­van­tage. In the last quar­ter a tremen­dous piece of play saw , the flood gates opened with 6 more goals be­ing kicked to run away with the game.
