Bookaneers find gold

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

MOSSMAN State School held the first of two biannual book fairs last week with a highly successful book fair evening.

The Australian Scholastic Book Fairs raise valuable resources for our school with one third of our profits being converted to new books for our school library.

This year’s theme for the book fair was Bookaneer with students and staff dressing up as pirates at the parent evening.

Book fairs are hugely popular at the school as we place a big emphasis on reading at all year levels.

The daily before school reading club remains a phenomenal success at the school with more than 100 students and many family members attending every day.
