JEL­LY­FISH STINGS

On March 30 a 20-yar-old woman Dutch woman was stung by jel­ly­fish on her legs while swim­ming in the en­clo­sure stinger net at Four Mile Beach around 6:30 pm. The woman, a back­packer, was taken to Moss­man hos­pi­tal and re­sponded well to treat­ment. Also on on Four Mile Beach, on April 1 a 57year-old Amer­i­can woman suf­fered a mi­nor sting when she stepped on a jel­ly­fish on the beach around 7:30 am. She was treated by paramedics and did not re­quire trans­port to hos­pi­tal.
