SEA­SONAL WORKER PRO­GRAM TOURISM PILOT

The Sea­sonal Worker Pro­gram North­ern Aus­tralia Tourism pilot is avail­able to help tourism op­er­a­tors to fill de­mand in the sec­tor with a tem­po­rary low and un­skilled work­force. The pro­gram con­trib­utes to the devel­op­ment of nine Pa­cific Is­land coun­tries and Ti­mor-Leste by pro­vid­ing ac­cess to work in Aus­tralia in cer­tain in­dus­tries with sea­sonal de­mand for work­ers. The pro­gram can pro­vide a re­li­able and re­turn­ing labour force for em­ploy­ers, in­clud­ing in the tourism in­dus­try, that can’t al­ways meet their sea­sonal need for low and un­skilled work­ers with lo­cal Aus­tralian job­seek­ers.
