Pre­mier sets book tar­get for stu­dents

ANNASTACIA Palaszczuk has set a test for Queens­land’s chil­dren to read 2.5 mil­lion books in three months dur­ing the 2017 Pre­mier’s Read­ing Chal­lenge.

In its 12th year, the Pre­mier said she wanted to break the pre­vi­ous record set last year when more than 160,000 stu­dents raced through 2.24 mil­lion books.

The chal­lenge runs from May 15 to Au­gust 25.
